A poem should tell a story: It should be like a childrens book: So simple yet endearing After just one look. It should be like a knight in shining armour: Always there to save the day. It should produce a tranquil moment If only a stanza away. Poems should give you tender thoughts, Like a rising sun so true. Like a good ole suspense movie, It should intrigue and entice you. It should be like a crashing wave: Ever flowing, free, and new. But a poem, above all, makes you think At least thats what it should do**english class, goal was to write a poem with similes**
