Under Moonlit Sky

by Shelly   May 17, 2007

I watch the fairies circle round
in their balls of light
Twinkling and shiny
lighting the dark sad night

the gnomes hide
deep in the trees
while elves play and sing
with Chick-a-Dee's

the trolls play hide-and-seek
in the grass
the unicorn sleeps in peace
the mermaids
splash and play in the water
and I watch the little peoples
running feet

I rest in the grass and look to the sky
and look at mother moon
she has blessed me well tonight
I'm very thankful too

I hear the sound of the running waterfall
and the croaking in my head
but then I wake up and realize
this was all in my head
