To Be Alive

by sibyllene   May 17, 2007

Alone within this evening bright,
am I?
This earth too grand, too golden shines
this light.
I am but one who wheels, and then
must die-
The birds sweep up my hubris in
their flight.
My thoughts themselves won't graze this humming
sky-
Alone my soul, in quiet cheer
dare try.

I like the format, it was short, sweet, and to the point.
