Those Three Sweet Words

by Marc Ortiz   May 17, 2007

The daystar sinks into the horizon
As the moon soars into the hazy sky
Here I am alone in an empty park
Gazing into the blurry heavens.

I can see her face in the misty clouds
She's like a star in the sky smiling down
I can only see her smile in my dreams..
I'll never hear those three sweet words again..

Every night in my beautiful dreams
Her angelic voice echoes within me
But those are just my charming delusions.
I'll never hear those three sweet words again..

Wishing I could have here her in my arms
And confine her as tight as I can
But that will never happen.. Never.
Because she's so far from where I am.

The next time I'll see her heavenly face
I will hear those three sweet words again
But it's not for me.. by that time
She'll have another love in her heart.

I think it was good on love poems although I am so late to tell this but anyway it was so sad as the things you said and she still has another one at her heart
So good at combining the words
    Take care,

Wow, seriously, your poems make me cry. :| They seem so full of longing for somebody, missing them so badly. It's a deeply saddening read, yet much enjoyable too. It's genuinely sweet.

    An excellently penned piece.

Such a sad love poem but it was written so beautifully and so filled with love. I understand the pain of losing a love and it's never easy at first, but over time your heart will heel and grow back bigger then ever. Excellent poem 5/5
