"Touched by an angel"

Early that summer day
was one of the worst days of my life
because, I thought I lost you
mom woke me up and said,
“Your brother got hit by a car”
I thought It was a bad dream
but, yet it was reality
I didn’t know what to do
I just cried wishing I could be by your side
you were only 3 how could this happen?
She told me the story and I was terrified
I wanted to go to the hospital but they said no
I should of been there
this would of never happened
today, you are here
when you look at me with that precious smile and say “I love you sissy”
when I see those scars on your body
it makes me think of that day
in my mind all the horrible memories come back
and I thank god because I believe someone up in the heavily skies was looking out for you, my little brother
you were touched by an angel
