The Silly Game of Tag

by Shelly   May 18, 2007

She runs and runs screaming
a child of only ten
afraid of being taken away
by the worst of all sins

"Help Help!"She cried with great fear
yet no one returns her calls
and she knows that even the slightest trip
and in the grasp of the sin she shall slip

Watching her foot work, half way home
two more blocks and a Field
she looks back to see if it's still there
following her heals

She sees the black thing from behind
her heart begins to race
for a child much too young
might just lose this race

the rain begins to fall and slip!'
her head cracked and her neck in a twist
and as the black Creature comes into the moonlight
was her best friend afraid of the sight

see the story was they were playing
tag upon the cities streets
the two as they heard thunder
and lightning crash at there feet

Her best friend still it she cried help playfully
some others were playing too
and when she turn around
she tried see what she could do

Her life is somewhat lost now
over a silly game of tag
but is that the true story?
or what someone told there dad...
