Reality

by Christina Yap   May 18, 2007

I'm constantly thinking of you
With no reason why
Memories continually plague my mind
This isn't healthy for me
But I don't know what to do
I can't help it; I can't stop it
I've tried many times
I don't want to forget
But yet I don't want to remember
I want to experience
I want it to be true

But it won't

At least not yet
Not now
Not until the sun sets
And the moon rise
Where you will lay beside me
As soon as I close my eyes
Where I feel you breathe on my neck
But I open my eyes and your gone again

And so...

Memories will always be reminisced
Tears will continue to fall
Dreams will always be dreamed
And until then
I must face the truth
It's time for me to face
This nightmare I live
This nightmare that goes by the name
Reality.

Memories continually plague my mind was my favorite line. I love how you used the word plague. I think it seems more like a sad poem or a love poem than a dark poem. That's just me though you can keep it under whatever you want. I give it a four.
