Sun to Moon

by Lost Soul 691   May 18, 2007

Vivid oranges and reds
slowly dipping
across the sky
disappearing

in that sphere
see me
deep within the swimming colors
my heart

delicate hues
trailing to the walls
outreaching
bleeding

replaced by time
with the coldest white
smooth and solid
but still burning bright

this orb
it pulls the tides
in the sea
in me

hold it in your hands
and dream by it

This is beautiful to the point of haunting. I love the imagery and every stanza is flawless. I absolutely love the ending. One of the best poems I've read in awhile!

    Take care,

I love how the first stanza took me
like right on the beach at sunset.
    Building me up emotionally and
visually to the fourth stanza and
I must say it blew me away with
that last line, but still burning bright.
    An excellent read indeed thank
you for sharing and write on,
    Bogie
