Dad don't leave

by mary   May 18, 2007

He was a man without a plan, living his life fighting pain and strife. until his little girl came into his life. Now setting examples because he knows she's watching and following his lead, every time he bandages a skinned knee he listens so tenderly to the childs every plea, daddy can you get this for me? But as she grew dad never knew what all his child wold go through . now it's his time to plead sweetie talk to me. He was the shoulder, confident, and friend everyone needs, but when she finally see's God says to dad it's time to leave. and the child pleads God don't take my daddy i'll miss him badly and i know he would never leave me. believe me he's told me because in my heart he lives.

a friend asked me to write a poem for a young girl who lost her dad to cancer. so this is one i came up with. please vote and comment.
