Storms outside

by Flying Phoenix   May 18, 2007

A storm does brew outside at night
Twisting contortions of a devils flight
Burrowing clouds of ominous fate
Swirling winds; that havoc create
Cackling thunder screams high from above
Tormented sighs from the ones we love
Snatched at once from the perfect air
Defiled forms beyond repair
Lightening strikes at the shadows grave
Harsh lessons to the misbehaved
Boiling anger simmers out far
Stretching from the city's miserable scar
Dancing lights illuminate the sky
Misleading innocence to passers by
Catch a droplet of pitiful rain
But beware of the torrents that came
Standing outside in natures whim
Being reborn, life does begin
