The Night I Fell In Love With You

by Emily Reed   May 18, 2007

The night I fell in love with you

Underneath the stars on that cold windy night,
Riding in the bed of that pick up truck,
Your arms were around me tight,
Even when cars passed and we had to duck.

Me laying against your chest,
As you whispered sweet things in my ear,
And I just new that night was going to be the best,
Your words sounding so sincere.

Your cheek pressed against mine,
As we were flying down the road,
And we knew everything was going to be just fine,
As long as we had each other to hold.

Jackie and Ross sitting on the other side,
Holding each other just like me and you,
All the feelings that were in me I tried to hide,
Because I wasnt sure you felt your heart burning too.

A big smile on your face when you gazed into my eyes,
And said hey babe were here,
I knew I just had to give your love a try,
Even though having you break my heart was my biggest fear.

We went in to the garage and I sat on your lap,
Playing with your curly hair,
Stealing your hunting cap,
Wanting to kiss you but wouldn't dare.

Pulling my body closer to you,
Touching me sweetly with your finger tips,
Pulling my body even closer to you,
Until pressed together are our lips.

I will never forget all of the bliss,
That you gave me that night,
When together we shared our first kiss,
When the moment was just right.

We stayed in the garage for a while,
For at least an hour we sat and talked,
I'll never forget your smile,
When into the house we walked.

On one couch me and you laid,
And on the other was Ross and Jackie,
All night that is where we stayed,
More in love with you than I thought I could ever be.

Kissing your sweet lips,
Led to more,
Feeling my bare skin with your finger tips,
And our clothes on the floor.

Making sweet love for hours on end,
Wanting to be more to you,
Then just your friend,
Because I love everything you do.

Praying this night would last forever,
Wanting you to love me,
Wanting you to leave me never,
The girl in your life no one can replace I wish I could be.

Had to find a ride home,
Even though is was around 5,
I called everyone on my phone,
That I knew could drive.

We ended waking up Ross's dad,
We figured it couldn't hurt to try,
Turned out he wasn't even mad,
And he gave us a ride.

Outside it was still cold,
And I started to shiver,
Once again I was in your arms to hold,
Even though your touch still made my body quiver.

We said good-bye,
As I got out of the car,
And I felt like I wanted to cry,
Because I could no longer fell you which meant you were too far.

That morning I got home and laid in my bed,
Me and Jackie not being able to sleep,
Everything that happened that night was running through my head,
Knowing those are memories I will always keep.

I'll never forget that night,
No matter what I do,
I'll remember how everything was so right,
The night I fell I love with you.
