I couldn't make all of this go away.
This was not a dream,
All I could hear were my frustrated screams.
My eyes filled with tears,
Because cynical laughter was filling my ears.
My heart started to slow down,
My head was starting to pound.
Your words I could no longer hear
For my brain had now switched gears.
You ask me what should you do?
I don't know how I can answer this for you.
Happiness is what you deserve,
But I was not ready for this wild curve.
I stutter and make a reply,
And end it with a mournful sigh.

My mind turns and trys to shut off from you.
A wall will be erected once again,
To protect myself from indecisive men.
Distress is apparent in your voice,
You do not know if this is the right choice.

But to be careful for the fall is steep.

for she says she wants you for her man.
Please tread lightly on the slippery floor,
For she could pull you down once more.
