The gold sign

by Alma   May 19, 2007

I sit in the grassy field
the wind blows
through my brown hair
it dries my tears
with red eyes
and not a word spoken
I look down
at all that is left on this Earth
of you
just a sign
a gold sign
a gold sign with your name
thats all it is
but thats all I needed
to see
to know it's true
to know your not here anymore
I still remember your sweet smell
and your loving smile
those eyes
remembering makes me want to cry
but all this
is only a memory
my memory of you
but all I have of you now
is just a gold sign
