When you go to the army I'm not gonna cry
Instead I'm gonna smile when we say our goodbyes
I know you may think this is not true
But I'm not gonna cry cause it hurts you when i do
When you go to the army there's a chance you may not make it back
I could loose my baby quickly, it could happen just like that
But why would God do that and take my one true love away
Those are the things i think about when i cry and when i pray

Because if goodbye means forever i want you to leave remembering my smile
