People Pleaser

by Anonymous   May 20, 2007

Your laugh is almost music, music to their ears,
Your etiquette's astounding, close to if not perfect,
Your stance is grand, your known as "The Man,"
Your clothes are never dirty,

They all look forward to seeing you,
And listening to your stories,
Receiving all their gratitude,
They would never call you boring,

Talented in the arts of providing what they want,
You seem to know what to say at any time of day,
You advertise your smile, your bicepts you tend to flaunt,
Fancy cars you know by heart, and in clothes you've got good taste,

One by one they all end up hooked
To a person they know not,
All because of charms and looks,
But their names you all forgot,

Because they're only fans, they're surely not friends,
You'll joke with him and you're always teasing her,
But way deep down you're alone, the same in the end,
You're only a people pleaser.
