Twenty-Third of November

by Jesse   May 20, 2007

The twenty-third of November
The best day of my life
The day I most easily remember
The day I fell in love with you

How could I forget
That night at the Ramada Inn
When I came to watch the jazz band play
And left with a crush

I've known you forever
But we lost touch
Then you came to Keith
And we began to talk so much

I knew three of my friends had dated you
So I didnt want to fall
But the next thing I knew
I had already fallen

You sent my friend a message
Saying you had to talk to her
After talking to you for a while
She said "Hey what's your number?"

My cell phone rang
And I hoped it was you
We talked for a while
Then you asked if I liked you too

When I told you my answer
I didnt know what to think
I sat and waited for your response
My hands began to shake

You told me that you really liked me
Then asked me to be yours
After I smiled and jumped
I told you "Of course"

Now I sit here
A year and a half later
And think about all our memories
And how I couldnt be happier

You mean so much to me
I know what we have is true
I can't see myself with anyone
But you

The twenty-third of November
Oh what a day
The twenty-third of November
Our love is here to stay

    Nice poem. 4/7.

    I liked your collaboration.
Just make little bit short and it'll be perfect.

    Good Work!
