Waking
Opening an eye
Looking at the clock
Only two hours
Pulling the pillow over my head
Willing, wishing my self back to sleep
Desperately trying to quiet the thoughts in my head
They slip past my defenses
Creeping in ,poking at my psyche
Pushing, prodding me awake
Tears slip from my eyes
Soft anguished cries
Escaping my lips
I'll never escape
Never get away
Cannot shut them off
So let them consume me
Taking me over
Eating away at my core
And I fall apart once more......
