Heartbeat

by brie kelly wise   May 20, 2007

There you lay
Breathing hard
The color in your eyes fade
All of these moments will be memories
Memories we can only see
We can't go back in time
And spend every moment like it was planned
But I can remember
And I can go on
It will be hard through every second
But I will remember this touch
We try to match heartbeats
But yours suddenly stops
And mine freezes
In the depth of the coldness
In the depth of the stillness...
What will happen if mine goes on forever?

Very well done. A delectably heartfelt and indepth recitation on the subject. The flow of the piece is free but not unorthodox, and suggests a very open spirit with thoughts that hold no restriction in your conciousness.

My deepest sympathies if you are deriving from truth for this poem.
