Money Is Key

by Zeus   May 20, 2007

Music tells us money is key
Kids grow up with a sense of love
That love is for the money
That makes them sell drugs

They listen to music on the radio
They love the beat that's on the track
But the lyrics pasted on their brains
Makes them go and hustle crack

The purest eyes of an innocent child
Blinded to believe that money is key
This is now the life he now leads
Full of hate and full of greed

This poem is so sad and speaks so much for its length. Todays music is good, but it gives the wrong message to the young ones who listen to it. *5/5*

Disheartening, but very true in today's world. Always pointing out the world's mistakes for the blind, I know where to come for a good read. but back to the topic, the final stanza was my favorite a great ending to a great poem. Again a bit short but to the point and descriptive enough to drive the point through a reader's brain. well done again 5/5
