Breakfast Hug

by Jason Rainey   May 21, 2007

The waking of my spirit yawns at the light
I turn to see the sunshine as I squint my light blue eyes
I wipe the haze away and see my sweetest love
Lying there sleeping, looking like an angel from above

I gently brush her hair back from her beautiful face
I smile so big as my heart begins to race
The feeling of knowing shes mine and mine alone
So close to my heart I feel that I know the unknown

Leaning over slowly as I warmly hold her there
I lay a kiss on her cheek so supple, soft and bare
Soft enough to not wake her but enough to know I care
Its in my heart to love her and treat her oh so fair

I make my way for a second kiss, this time I wake her up
She looks at me and smiles to say I love you oh so much
We both sit up and wonder what the day will hold for us
Now that we're both awake we can have our breakfast hug.
