The best for both of us

The thought of loosing him scares me,
to the very core of my heart.
It scares me because I had not the slightest idea,
that I could love another.

I gave him my heart and body
but it was way too soon.
He didn't deserve me,
but I was so deep in love that I could not see.

I could not see,
That he wasn't the right man for me.
Neither could I see that
He was not mentally prepared for a serious relationship.

There is no sense in holding on to something that won't work,
So sadly I let go.

Let go of all the good times that we have shared,
and of all the feelings that are here in my heart.
I know that this will not be easy, but it is for the best.

The best for both of us.
