Epidemic Flood

by supratim   May 21, 2007

I' ve left your hand, I think.
So it is now your turn to choose,
To leave it or hold.
We 've walked a long distance,
Of long fourteen months! Just walked...
Not through the paradise,
But through the haunted valley,
With clouds and skies blood.

You know?When I thought,
You will take me in your lap
At the end of the walk,
I began to hop, skip and jump.
Alas! I forgot to ask...

Is it truth or just a dream??

I've knocked your door a thousand times,
But it seems you are deaf,
Or you have forgot your promise
Which you' ve made once seeing me
Loosing my voodooed blood,
Drop after drop and bowls after bowls.

Look at the grip of our hands,
You' ll find I 've left it a long time back,
As even the grip is too much for me.

So I've left it now unto you
To hold it or leave!

See these creatures behind me-----
Shouting and tearing.
They shout too much,
And tears me into a thousand piece
Blocking the road between you and me.

I curse them,I chase them
But no they don't go.
Please come and help
The world assaults me!

Remove the black veil
And you' ll see,
A diamond heart lies
Beneath a golden pillar tall.

You wont find now water in my eyes,
Instead you' ll find
Blood oozing with deep slow sighs.

It spoiled the courtyard that lies in my heart,
And alone I am mending it
Or try to mend,
The pieces of some shattered dreams
And the oozed out blood.
That blocked in the threshold
Like some Epidemic Flood.

This is so beautiful and touching poem (I really don't understand why the rating is so low. I guess that people just don't understand the deeper meanings of your words). 5/5
