Death to the Both

by Bradley Peter   May 21, 2007

Sorrow so sudden, for the heartless man
Wants to keep going, but not sure if he can
Didn't realize his gift, until was too late
When it all became clear, he was faced with fate

Treated her like shit, though she gave him it all
She saved his life in the end, he feels like a fool
But she loved him to bits, and he knew it too
He felt the same way, but he never really knew

Cried in the street, holding her lifeless shell
Knowing for what he's done, he's going to hell
He killed an angel, he murdered her soul
Not sure how it happened, how he lost control

She was he's only good, now what's left behind
A dead man inside, with a broken mind
Holds the gun to his temple, tears down his cheeks
Pulls the trigger, and smiles as she speaks

Dang lol. This is an awesome poem. I mean it had so much scenery but my favorite part was the end. It was the part with the most shock lol.

Oh, this was so heartbreaking to read...and yet written so beautifully and elegantly.
I loved the imagery you used in this, it creates very vivid pictures, flow was flawless throughout and the word choice is enjoyable.
I loved the ending, I thought it was very intense and hard hitting.
