My Poor Little Toes.

by Brenda   May 22, 2007

When they're resting in a sock
With their brothers and sisters
They always need to cough
Wishing for something better

Maybe a pedicure
Or even to catch some air
They would always fear
To be chewed on by a bear

I've never seen this before
They just lay there together
My poor little toes
Their feelings should matter

They tell me they're scared
When they're getting clipped
They say it's not fair
When they want some long tips

They want to be by themselves
Off doing their own thing
Not in pain from cracks while being petted
Just want to someday be crowned king

I've never seen this before
They just lay there together
My poor little toes
Their feelings should matter

I'm a bad person!
I need to move on!

I want them to be happy
I want them to be free
I will cut off my toes
And let them live on their own

I won't shed a tear
In my heart they will be
Always going to be near
Eventually coming back to visit me

I hope..

I've never seen this before
My poor little toes
Aren't suffering anymore
They're happy now, I know
