Death awaits

by Jubail   May 22, 2007

As I await my death
memories come flashing before my eyes
regrets and sorrows i felt
slowly fading as the time flies by

As my end draws near
hiding the surmounting terror
holding back all of my fears
I embrace my fate with honor

As i dream of the afterlife
flesh and bones burn in hell
running out of time
i hide within my own cold cell

The end is finally here
not sorry for all I have done
at the last second I shed no tear
I fly away to the world beyond

I absolutely admire this piece, Kabs. I love the seeming esoterical depth and profundity that lies in between the lines... you really have a way with words, m'dear. Keep them up! Take care, Debbers
