Farwell To Those Great Poets...

by in spite of love   May 22, 2007

To those who showed me meaning,
Of the rhyme scheme in my words,
Those who kept me writing,
To use to voice that no one heard.

The people who I learned to trust,
Knowing they might understand.
The people who won't judge me,
My future still un-planned.

I'd really like to take this time,
To thank you for all you've done.
For being there when needed...
You moved the clouds, I see the sun.

I know this is dramatic,
But it's what I have to say...
No more being clingy... Cause I know that you can't stay.

I'm really gonna miss you guys,
And in every verse I swear,
I'll keep your criticism,
And in my poems, you'll be there.

What a heart-felt poem. It is extremely refreshing to see someone accepting criticism so well and embracing it in such a manner. How beautiful when you say,

    "For being there when needed...
You moved the clouds, I see the sun"

I believe writing holds a path to enlightenment and I think you do my belief justice when you say these words. It is almostlike you are saying, "the path to happiness must be full of people who will help u see the light." A very beautiful perspective.

    "in every verse I swear,
    I'll keep your criticism,
And in my poems, you'll be there."

The ending of you poem is extremely sweet. What an honour to these poets to be remembered in every line you right. A very very cute poem indeed.

Well done for comming up with such a unique poem.

Please have a look at my poems and let me know what you think. :)
