Moonlit Glimmers

by Jordan W   May 22, 2007

The most beautiful sight,
Is your moonlit face,
Staring up at me.
I saw a glimmer in her eye.
I asked for just one kiss.
We shared a moonlit passion.
Even though my memory is a vague shadow of what happened,
I remember that beautiful face,
Just staring back at me.
We talked in the shroud of night,
You told me it couldn't be,
You told me how you're a terrible person.
I couldn't understand how you could say such a thing,
When all i see before my eyes is perfection.
Perfection in every facet of the word.
I told you that you are beautiful inside and out,
I told you to never let anyone tell you otherwise,
And then i gently brushed your lips with mine.
We kissed in the dark.
You told me nothing could happen,
I said...
It matters not,
For my feelings will not change.
After I kissed you once more,
You left me to my thoughts in the dark,
My thoughts wandered,
And all I could think about was your beautiful moonlit face,
Staring at me with those glimmering eyes...
