Pieces Apart

by The Queen of Spades   May 22, 2007

Please God, do not let me fall
Into a life with boxed-in walls
Where everyday outside, it is spring
And ghosts slip by unintimidating
I want to live where
The wind can make the leaves applaud
A symphony of natural noise, God
And feel the tingle up my spine
When wishes would be made like mine
I want to heal an injured heart
Put it together from pieces apart
To cross the coals beneath my feet
I want to know I will not retreat
Please God, let me forget what I have said
Please God, keep my next step un-led.

This poem like your others has great flow and word choice but is rather unique in many ways which is good. "I want to heal a injured heart Put it together from pieces apart" those lines were fantastic and i think we all wish we could. amazing job 5/5
