Etched in my body, carved in my skin,
I have displayed my greatest sin.
People will look, some may even stare,
At the scars of my life not meaning to scare.
If I could cease to punish this way,
I would give anything, so each night I pray.
I wish it would end, I mean no harm,
Please believe me, no cause for alarm.
This is just me, strange as it seems,
If I could change there would be no need for dreams.
Of being normal because I'm not right now,
But I promise to try harder, and this I do vow.
