The demons

by RawrItsDollfacex   May 22, 2007

I beckon that of my demons
Surrounding my existence
When standing in the rain
Can no longer cleanse me

I can wait for the end
When all the fears will have gone away
But if that never occurs
Will the demons be here to stay?

The wrecked halls
Of my mirrored reflections
Spill upon the pave
Of my revolution

What have I ruined?
I wonder
As I jump into the wine of deicte
Myself maybe

My demons
They stand
surrounding me
Hand in hand

Waiting for me to crash.

As a person who battles with my own inner demons every day i can really relate to this poem, the uniform then non-uniform line lengths can be a little distracting but it does not detract from the overall poem and in the end i enjoyed it quite a bit and I will have to read more of your work

    "The wrecked halls
    Of my mirrored reflections
    Spill upon the pave
    Of my revolution"
    These lines are really powerful.
The rest of the poem is well written, too, it has some dark energy within the words.
    I love it. 5/5
