Blood Red

by XxbekkaxX   May 22, 2007

Roses are red
blood red dripping down
with a secret thought
to condemn the lies
of those who touch
its bitter-sweet petals

violets are blue
beautiful blue poison
that seeps through the
the wicked veins
misunderstood as it
slides down the throat of jealousy

if only
if only my morbid thoughts
that swim through
my sad secluded soul
could be understood

if only you knew
roses are red
violets are blue
if only, if only
you knew

O.o I'm WOW'ed. It flowed great in my mind, and it was so mysterious!! I loved it. A truly dark poem. Nicely done.

I also wrote a poem based on the line "roses are red, violets are blue" called "Lie dead sweet roses, whlie the biolets play", but i kind of diegressed from that by the end. yours was much better.
