Monotony and Tears

by Deathcanwait   May 22, 2007

No I dont want your sympathy
Youre raging words or third degree
Forever lost in apathy
Pulled down under, drowning me
A flash of scarlet lights the way
The way to cope, forget today
A love like planes which flash up high
Confused for stars that light the sky
I thought it looked like greener grass
But all looks good through frosted glass
And Seconds pass wrapped up like days
Disguised within a mocking haze
Monotony and tears persist
With clenching cheeks and clenching fists
Dressed head to toe in throbbing veins
Which sprung a leak like jungle rains
The hand still shakes as salt intrudes
From tears and cries and deadly moods
That grip my soul and squeeze it dry
That scratch a broken heart in thigh
A wound beyond a kiss repair
With screaming eyes of grave despair
A youthful body torn apart
It ends with wrists but starts with heart.

Wow! What a deep and intense piece you have penned. Imagery and word choice excellent.

A wound beyond a kiss repair
With screaming eyes of grave despair
    A youthful body torn apart
It ends with wrists but starts with heart.

    These lines were awesome.
    Take care Cindy
