In a matter of seconds. by Stephanie

As i lie awake
my eyes roll back
things i never wanted to see again
start to reenact

My dreams turn to nightmares
the rainbows all turn Grey
and as i lie here
really not wanting to stay

the power goes off
the candles burn out
close your eyes, pull my hair
stand in one place and try not to stare

i see the light
but i run so fast
and i pray to god
for this moment not to last

My eyes they open,
the nigh mares they end
all my scars and broken bones
they all start to mend.

the colors are back
and my rainbow is beautiful
you don't know what it feels like to live
until you're about to die.
so thank the lord
don't be shy...
thank god everyday for the life we live.

This is all because of you.
you hurt me.
and you know what, you never
really ever cared... i feel for you
and you said youd catch me, i gues
your arms got tired, cause you eventually
just let me go
and i am never comming back.

Ok, anyway. Fabulous job on the poem. Very emotional, the flow was flawless, & your word usage was great.
