There is a light in me

by Hope   May 23, 2007

There is a light in me and I know it,
He is slowly but surely manifesting his presence in me.
He has removed my old and tattered attire
And has replaced them with sparkling white garments

There is a light in me, Can't you see?
I'm no longer the hopeless and confused teen girl that I used to be
The long frowned face is long gone,
for he has replaced it with a smile.
My heart is now whole
it is no longer fragile.

There is a light in me;
I am living my life to the fullest
I can see all my dreams and aspirations finally coming through.
I have said goodbye to familiar failure,
And welcome the savor of sweet success.

Yes there is a light in me,
I'm no longer living in times gone by;
Past mistakes are now behind me,
my eyes are set on my goals.
I no longer think about what was,
But more importantly, what is before me.

There is a light in me,
I am finally contented.
He has came into my life,
and has made me brand new.
Happiness, Hope and Love is now mine,
because of this light in me.
