My Haven

by x Mo x   May 23, 2007

I want to hold on.
I don't want to let go
Of this place I've gotten used to,
That I finally, now, know.

They call it a school,
But it meant more to me.
It was a place where I lived
By my simple personality.

It was a haven
For my broken, battered soul.
A place I felt safe
To come out of my hole.

For I was the same
As the other girls,
And no one could see
My scars from this world.

Good poem, I like the mood, as well as your tone. I wish you went a bit deeper though.. feel like there's more to it.
