Dig a little deeper.

by Holly   May 23, 2007

Watch him bury her in rose petals.
Delicate and new, bright and red.
Strip them of the lies that clung so tightly.
Love drew first blood.

Dig a little deeper love.
You can still hear her whisper.
Muffle her cries.
That sing of good graces.

Believe her dear.
She believed in you.
What a silly little girl.
Love drew first blood.

Clean the slate.
So shiny and new.
Black as crystal.
Haunting you.

Nails down the chalkboard.
Screech and cry.
Dig a little deeper love.
You can still hear her whisper.

Dress her up.
Tainted and used.
You stood her up love.
Haunting you.

The scars are still seeping.
The blood has not dried.
Bleach stained.
Clean the slate.

She loved you dear.
She held your picture.
Dig a little deeper love.
You can still hear her whisper.
