Cherry Tree

by Aki   May 23, 2007

A house with many trees,
tall enough for the kids.
One day maybe a tree house,
were we all can play.
Just two please,
maybe three if it comes to be.
Is that all right,
with you?
Could we have a garden
a patch of dirt...
some place,
Where I may grow
vegetables and flowers.
Maybe we could have
a Cherry Tree...

The kids run along
playing in the backyard.
We sit and watch from
the patio we built together...
In the overhang swing
we lie, rocking
Loving and holding.
Not even after so long
nothing has stopped us,
paused, but not stopped.
the black kitten sneaks by
and Johnny follows protectively.

I want everything
you just said.
But instead of a kitten
can we have both?
