Never thought it would happen to us
we were a threat to them
they wouldnt dare
when we least expected it
they did
planes crashed
men high jacked
towers fell
America wept
he never came home today
he was an innocent man
a volunteer firefighter
he saved a lot of lives today
somehow he managed to forget
and didnt save his own
his pride had taken over
his pride in America
today the nation cried
today is a day we will never forget
a little piece of all of us
died today.
