An Illusion Called Poem

by Tricky Daze   May 23, 2007

Like a guy fallen in love waiting,
For the valuable time of gathering
To touch her heart again and again,
This is what is a paper to a pen.

Like a meaningful letter you write,
To affect the recipient or just to excite.
Generally the feelings are hidden in it;
Waits to be solved like a password.

Like a sad movie within the lines,
Shows all the sorrow and secrets that whines.
You can see teardrops between the stanzas,
Or the happiness that will fill you in.

Like a death of someone you care,
Say goodbye to leave the reader to bear.
You have to seal it with your name,
Deliver it because maybe someone will read.

    Great poem. From start to finish I was drawn into this poem. The flow was great and I loved the aabc rhyming scheme. The first stanza and the last line of the last stanza are my favourite parts of this poem. 5/5
