I used to wonder when I was younger.
But now, I know where I'm going.

- I love how this opens with such a fast flow and the words join together so freely it gives a little beat to read along with.

I used to do things with caution;
But now, I do things with flaws showing.

- I begin to see where the poem is going here and I know you are going to compare what things were like when you were younger to what they are like for your mind now.

I used to be slightly concerned,
But now, I'm always scared.
Always regressing to the people who never cared.

- I think this is my favourite part. I relate to it the most in the way I never used to fear much, I was cautious but things seemed doable. where as now, suffering from anxiety, I always get scared of everything and wish I could go back to the fearlessness I had when I was young. Also it I very moving when you mention going back to people who never cared, that is so sad to feel this person has no good people around them and no one to care for them, so they end up going back to the only people they have.

I'm not afraid of dying,
But I'm afraid of where I'm going.

- I related to this part too, I think to be afraid of death itself is rare, it is ore likely a fear of pain, a fear of loss, a fear of what happens when you are not here etc. To me, death is not scary because I accept it and in my head I know what it is. Where as I am scared of the unknown and because the future is unknown it becomes a fear. You do not know where you are going to end up so you begin to worry about it endlessly.

I wish that I could do the things I do without knowing.

- brilliant way to end - it sums up the point of your poem but it also keeps the riddle-like flow to it which you have created through out.

I really enjoyed this, thanks for bringing it to attention.

Sometimes it's easier to pretend isn't it, sometimes it's easier if you didn't know what would happen.
I can see that this could be a view from so many people, because when life deals us these blows, it masters all of our strength just to keep going, knowing that it ends with death.

And the not knowing is easier....

I think the repetition was really cleverly added, but I really liked how you were talking about before you knew and now you know, the changes that brings.

Really powerful, yet simple...
