Here you see a girl who looks very happy
What you don't see is what goes through her mind
There are so many problems she must deal with
It seems like the world is coming to an end
Her life is full of broken promises and lies
She can't understand why someone would do such a thing
She looks in the mirror and can see right through her mask
She knows how bad people can be
She knows what it is like to love and trust
She knows what it is like to deal with all the fuss
She looks at herself and sees all her pain
She wishes that someone would explain
She knows it will never be the same
She cries herself to sleep at night wondering what else could go wrong
She stares at the ceiling and wishes things were different
She just wants the things she loved to come back
She is scared to go out in fear of seeing him
She wants him to admit to all his lies
She wants to feel safe again
She wonders what it would be like to be happy again
Truly happy, not just the mask she wears during the day
Where has the time gone?
It's already been over a year
Shouldn' things be back on track again?
Why won't he answer, why won't me pay?
All she can do is wait another day
When will it stop?
When will it go away?
Oh how she just wishes it was today
She is just glad that the few that care
