The fall from life

I see a dew drop
fall from life
a failure to hold on
a crystal of hope
lying in shards
broken and cracked
for the world to see

I see a dew drop
falling from the world
falling through the air
from a small chance of hope
that small chance of forbidden hope
a single shard of the crystal
growing smaller with ever passing second
