Flight From Sorrow

by fearose   May 23, 2007

When life has you conflicted
I feel so restricted
You won't accept my aid
And my hope starts to fade

She's been hurt so much
But I can't forget your touch
I'm fighting for you
But I know she loves you too

My life took a turn for the better
When I gave you that letter
I professed my love in words
And my heart split in thirds

The largest piece to you, my dear
One made to kill my fear
The last was designed
To settle my mind

You give me butterflies
And train my eyes
To look at you alone
If she had only known

You are my everything
You give me a wing
To lift off from this sorrow
And look forward to tomorrow

Because of you by my side
I see myself a bride
Married to this hope I can be with you
And that you feel the same too
