Someday, She Might Love You

by HOLLYWOODxBANGBANG   May 24, 2007

Sitting at the bar with a goofy smile on his face,
He watches her on the floor, she dances with grace,
And he's winking and sending hints out her way,
Trying to drink away the pain from our fight that day.

And she stops and flips back her bleach blonde hair,
Walking over to the bar, seeing him intently stare,
Ordering her a round or two, he sits down beside her,
As his head starts to spin, the room becomes a blur.

She holds his chin up as she looks in his green eyes,
Asking if he's single; blushing, he smiles and lies,
And they leave the bar to the hotel across the street,
Getting lost in each other on top of the tainted sheets.

But at home, his clothes are spread out across the yard,
And even trying to look at him seems to be too hard,
Those flowers he brought me are now ashes in a well,
Ripped up into pieces for everyday that I went and fell -

Head over heels in love with a fool that lies and cheats,
And he stands pounding on the door covered in deceit,
Begging me to let him in so we can talk it through,
But on the top of my lungs I scream: "Someday, she might love you!

She might be able to hold you in her arms one night,
Taking advantage of you to help you forget our fight,
And although maybe someday she might love you,
She, nor anyone else, will never love you as much as I do!"

With tears in my eyes I burnt all of our old pictures,
Yelling out to him: "Here, this one is for you and her!"
And as he walked away I wiped tears from my eyes of blue,
Whispering under my breath: "Someday, she might love you."
