Hello Loneliness.

by Teria   May 24, 2007

Silently waiting, my dearly beloved friend.
How long will you wait? You continue to ask..
As long as it takes for the earth to end.
That is way too long and quite a hard task!
Can you sit that long, or will you pretend?
Pretend to what? Must you continue to ask?
Well, you took it upon yourself to wish your
world won't end 'til you say, "hello loneliness."

Lonely? Never!
You'll see the day, my friend.
A godmother in question, that's all you have.
Soon she'll die, and you'll be alone.
No, I shall never be alone!
You will, you must admit it to yourself.
No! That's impossible.
It is not impossible, only scary.
Just say it, my friend; you'll feel better.

And, the last breath she breathed
she happened to let out;
" Hello loneliness, welcome to my life."

A Ottava Rima is a poem written in 8-line octives. Each line is of a 10 or 11 syllable count in the following rhyme: abababcc
[The first half of the poem is a Ottava Rima, second half isn't anything, just off the top of my head.]

I'm not to sure I'm a fan of this style of poetry, I think the poem would have been a lot better in a different style. Never the less it wasn't bad even with this unique style. good job 5/5
