Bed of Roses

by Daisy if you do   May 24, 2007

I cry unto thee
Dost thou hunger linger deep?

Aye! Doth thy hunger pit!
Twisting, writhing with each fit!

Hast thou a need?
Quenched not a ravenous steed?

Thy nectar upon thee sourest lip
Sweetened by the merest sip

'Tis not mineself for thee enough?
Upon beds of roses if giveth thine love?"

Yae! If by thorns tear ye mine heart
Thy sweetest love shalt never depart

Dixie

** I tried the Old English format for this and do not know if I have done okay with it or not. But I tried.

I think you did just fine with the old english. I can't ever understand old english and I couldn't quite understand this so great job! *laughing* I understood the poem though.
