We were such a happy family,
Nan, mum, my sisters, my brothers, granddad and me
there was so much love then suddenly
my dear granddad was taken from me
We could sit and talk about anything
when i was down so much joy he would bring
late at night when i couldn't sleep we would sing
now when i talk to him i don't hear a thing
I sit and ask the lord why, why we had to say goodbye
it's been hard trying to move on but i still try
looking into the past wishing what granddad gave would last.
I know granddad still hears my little cry,
while he is with the lord in the paradise in the sky,
even though i sit up and ask why
why i had to say goodbye.
But i know that he wants me to remember
our good times together,
i know he is gone but however
