Four Letter Lie

by A New Beginning   May 24, 2007

Those three simple words
Cost her her life
Because after you spoke them
She took hold of that knife

She grabbed ahold of it
So firm and hard
Because those fake emotions
Will leave her forever scarred

She no longer had a choice
She couldn't live this way
Every word you spoke
Killed her more each day

So making thick slits
While saying, "This one's for you."
Never could she end this pain
She no longer knew what to do

So across her wrists
Were marks so red
And after only a few more
It was no doubt she'd be dead

So looking at that knife
Her stained, dull friend
She made a grave decision
A decision of her end

She picked up the knife once more
And held it to her skin
She made another slice
So very deep and thin

She looked down to see
Massive blood begin to pour
And smiled when she learned
She would feel pain no more

Her vision began to blur
As her body began to shake
Her head got heavy
As she lay, to never again wake

Her body got cold
And turned pale and white
And she laid her head down
Not at all trying to fight

Looking up she thought
And began to remember you
Not liking the memories
Her eyes began to cry too

Taking the knife
She layed it on her chest
Holding it close
She thought this was for the best

Finally her body went numb
She was no longer able to speak
Her breathing began to slow
And her heartbeat became weak

This final cut was fatal
It made her skin forever cry
And it was all because
Of your four letter lie

Four letter lie? Oh, I think I know it! Is it Love? I bet I'm right.
So...do you like slit wrists? You write about it a lot. But that's okay...it adds to the depth of darkness emanating like a depressing aura from the beautiful words you've written.
And so on and so forth.
How about a cliche? Okay, here you go; Keep it up!
