Empowered As She Falls Apart

by Sarah Ann   May 24, 2007

Listen.
For her heartbeat rages
In your arms
Her soft voice quivers;
"Spare the harm,"
As one blow splits her to the ground
And she's now lying there face down

Where is the guilt?
The change of heart -
Empowered,
As she falls apart
In calamity and misery
Come back...
Then make her believe

You love her...
It's always the same.

With no regret,
You walk away.

(Eh...Based on a recent, personal incident of abuse, thats all.)

    Made me cry.

    I loved it, Im sorry you wrote it on experience.
    Been there.
    But about the poem ;

    I loved how it was a strange structure but still flowed.
    How every word clinged to the tip of my tongue and as I read I really enjoyed it.
    Was really..wow.

    Well done.
