Run.

by LauRawh   May 24, 2007

If I could run away,
Just run so far away.
Would my footsteps echo your own,
Or would I run alone?

And if I ran into the distance,
Maybe to you I would acquire resistance.
But would you follow me,
Or just watch me go silently?

If I ran away forever,
The ties to you I would hope to sever.
Yet running from you seems so hard to imagine,
Because my steps would slow as I sadden.

Fantastic piece. I love how you kept it short, but it's still very powerful and emotional. Keep writing.
